hOW MANY TOYS ARE INCLUDED IN MY MEMBERSHIP?
If you have a 6-month subscription you can borrow 5 toys at a time. If you would like to borrow more toys, they will cost $1 per extra toy borrowed.

HOW DO I FIND THE TOYS TO BORROW?
You can view our toy database via the Mibase online catalogue.
Otherwise, come in and have a browse around our libraries and our helpful librarians can direct you to appropriate toys.
Please note it is the responsibility of parents to ensure that the toys they borrow are appropriate for their child's stage of development and are used in a safe manner.
An approximate age group is suggested for the toy, and in the interest of safety we recommend that younger children do not borrow toys that are suggested for older children.

HOW LONG CAN I BORROW TOYS FOR?
Toys are borrowed for a two week period. You are able to renew each toy once for a further two weeks.
When you log into your Mibase account, click on the “My Library” tab and you can see the list of your currently borrowed toys, review their due date and renew. You can also check if there are any missing parts registered for the toy.

WHAT CAN I DO FOR MY VOLUNTEER ROSTER DUTIES?
- Roster duty = assisting at one of our branches for a borrowing session. You will help the session coordinator to check and count returned toys, ensure they are well cleaned, and generally help out as required
- Log into your mibase account to sign up for a roster duty
We know roster duties can be difficult sometimes for young families and so ask us about alternatives including
- Volunteering at a fundraiser or other toy library events including at our annual Bunnings BBQ
- Send another adult in your place
- Using a particular skill to assist the library: like toy repair, graphic design, promotions, sewing

WHAT ARE MY MEMBER RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE TOYS I BORROW?
- Prior to returning your toys, you must clean your toys. Please take the time to read our toy cleaning instructions, and ensure that all toys are cleaned thoroughly before being returned (available on your mibase account log in)
- Please take good care of your toys like you would your own
WHAT HAPPENS IF I RETURN MY TOYS LATE?
If your toys are returned late, you will be charged a $1 fee per toy for each week that they are overdue
WHAT HAPPENS IF I LOSE/BREAK A TOY?
Sometimes we all lose parts of toys, please spend time trying to find the part as often they turn up in unexpected locations.
- If you do lose a part of a toy, you will receive a $2 charge for each missing toy part
- If, and when, you find the missing part, we will refund you the $2 so do bring it back

HOW DO I END MY MEMBERSHIP?
Please notify the Toy Library in writing on mctl.carlton@gmail.com if you decide not to renew your membership for a subsequent period or if you move out of the area. It helps us to remove your details from our database and ensure you don't receive any unwanted communications.
